I still remember the madness around the box office clash between Om Shanti Om and Saawariya back in 2007. Newspapers were filled with articles about the two films, both different in genre and tone. One was a masala entertainer starring Shah Rukh Khan with a plethora of cameos. The other was the debut vehicle for Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, carrying forward the legacy of Bollywood's two great actors, Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. @ SLB Films Om Shanti Om had houseful theatres while Saawariya's halls were relatively empty.
