Fishing boat rammed by oil tanker to be retrieved
Efforts are underway to salvage and tow the fishing boat Dearyn, which sank off Pangasinan last week after being hit by foreign oil tanker MT Pacific Anna, killing three fishermen. Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Rear Adm. Armando Balilo on Monday said the boat is expected to be salvaged and towed within the week. Harbor Star, the company tasked to salvage and tow the boat, is expected to depart Monday night from Navotas City to retrieve the sunken boat. The PCG's BRP Malapascua located Dearyn some 180 nautical miles off Agno, Pangasinan, on Monday.
