MANILA, Philippines — Warm, weekend weather is expected in Luzon and the Visayas while cloudy skies and rian showers are expected in Mindanao due to the easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, the sate weather bureau said Saturday morning. 'Ngayon po, patuloy po ang epekto ng easterlies o hangin po galing sa Pacific Ocean, so ito pa rin po yung generally mainit na panahon, lalo na sa Luzon and Visayas. At yung easterlies din po ang nagdadala ng pag-ulan dito sa malaking bahagi ng Mindanao at bahagi ng Visayas over this weekend,' said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Benison Estareja.
