MANILA, Philippines — Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero on Wednesday encouraged the public to give the country's new tourism slogan, 'Love the Philippines,' a chance, which aims to attract more foreign visitors and boost the nation's economic sector from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Escudero issued the statement after the new slogan, launched by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in line with its 50th anniversary and announced by President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on June 27, drew flak from locals online.
