Emperador 2022 revenue up 12% but net income slightly down
MANILA -Billionaire Andrew Tan's liquor conglomerate Emperador Inc. said net income slipped on inflationary pressures while revenues rose on strong demand for alcoholic drinks. Emperador, the country's biggest brandy producer, ended the year with a net income of P10.1 billion versus P10.8 billion in 2021, a statement on Wednesday showed. Revenues during the period rose 12 percent to P68.2 billion. 'We achieved top line growth to end the year with a banner performance in 2022 despite the challenges posed by high inflation, and supply chain and logistics issues,' Emperador president Winston Co said in the statement.
