Date: Thursday 24 August, 2023 After extensive consideration, Central Goldfields Shire Council will transition away from delivering in-home aged care services from 1 March, 2024. The decision was made at a Meeting of Council on Tuesday night (22/08), following an extensive review process which included staff and community consultation. The decision is in response to the planned introduction of the Commonwealth Government new model of care - Support at Home (SAH) program – which is part of its National Reform of Aged Care and scheduled to commence on 1 July 2025.
