Analysts Optimistic About Business Recovery
Listed companies are set to announce their second-quarter earnings this month, raising hopes of growth momentum for the lackluster Korea Composite Stock Price Index.According to financial information provider FnGuide, brokerages expect 59.2 percent of 196 companies listed on the KOSPI to have improved their second-quarter earnings compared to a year ago.They estimate listed companies to have achieved a combined operating profit of W33.9 trillion, up 13.6 percent compared to the first quarter (US$1=W1,308).
