MANILA  -The substantial decline in fisheries production amid lower demand and higher input costs led to the contraction in the country's farm output in the second quarter, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The PSA reported Wednesday that agricultural production shrank by 1.3 percent in the three months ending June from the slight dip of 0.5 percent recorded in the same period a year ago. This brought the value of agriculture and fishery production at constant 2018 prices to P427.
