The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for August delivery fell by US$0.35, or 0.50 per cent, to settle at US$69.16 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery lost US$0.29, or 0.39 per cent, to settle at US$73.85 a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Two more USĀ interest-rate hikes within this year are a "very reasonable" projection, according to Mary Daly, president of San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank.
