Soon to enter the Malaysian market, the Smart #1 is now available in one more new variant, the Smart # 1 Pulse. It is an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant, which is a first for the non-Brabus version of the Smart #1. Introduced in Europe first, the Smart #1 Pulse is positioned between the ‘Premium' and the ‘ Brabus ' versions of the car. Although housing a dual-motor setup, it isn't exactly the same powertrain as the Smart #1 Brabus. The Pulse's 0-100 km/h acceleration time is listed at 4.5 seconds , which is slower than the Brabus's 3.
