Kingfisher got a taste of district victory before Heritage Hall came to town. The Lady Jackets shut down Newkirk 6-0 on April 6 to even their District 3A-2 record at 1-1. Kylee Rojas and Mya Dewberry scored two goals apiece while the latter contributed three assists in the road win. 'I thought the best thing we did was pass the ball,' coach Aniessa Edsall said. 'We found passing lanes, created opportunities for ourselves and capitalized when it mattered.' Rojas got her first goal 23 minutes into the game.
