INQUIRER FILES LUCENA CITY — A motorcycle passenger died while the driver was injured on Saturday, September 30, after their vehicle collided with a truck in Tanauan City in Batangas province. Batangas police said in a report that Ranielle Abarcar, 31, was driving his motorcycle with Edel Mark Encarnacion, 29, as a back-rider when they crashed into an oncoming truck driven by June Borbon along the section of JP Laurel national highway in Barangay (village) Darasa at around 2 a.m. The two motorcycle riders suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital, but Encarnacion died on the way.
