Next week is the Information and Privacy Commission (IPC) Right to Know Week (RTW 2023) and Wingecarribee Shire Council is proud to be a champion of the cause through the IPC RTK 2023 Champion Program. Consistent with our commitment to transparency, this global campaign recognises the right of citizens to access government information. From 25 September to 1 October 2023, RTW 2023 initiatives will promote open, transparent government. In NSW, this important public right is legislated through the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA Act).
