Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad are today releasing CCTV and appealing for information following two arson attacks at a Moonee Ponds tobacco store earlier this year. Emergency services were called about 3.05am on Tuesday 23 May and 1.35am on Friday 26 May following reports of smouldering and loud bangs at the Young Street premise. In both incidents, the roller door had been pulled up and flammable liquid thrown inside. No one was present at the business when it was set on fire and nobody was physically injured during any of the attacks, but the building sustained minor damage.
