UPDATED MANILA, Philippines — A sea vessel caught fire in the waters of Basilan, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Basilan on Thursday. Based on the latest update from Basilan Governor Jim Salliman, 12 people are dead and seven are still missing from the 205 passengers. According to the coast guard, the M/V MaryJoy3 caught fire near Baluk-Baluk Island, Basilan on Wednesday night. It deployed a search and rescue team together with local government units, helping to recover the cadavers.
