SEA Games: First time's the charm for PH women's cricket team in silver finish
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines notched a silver medal in cricket courtesy of the women's team in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at AZ Group Cricket Oval: Hun Sen Boulevard. The women's cricket team placed second in the women's 6 A Side category after succumbing to Indonesia with a score of 78/1-25/5 in the final. The Indonesians emerged victorious by converting 53 runs. April Rose Saquilon led the cricket team in runs with 11 to her name in a losing effort. Helping Saquilon in the field were Alex Bobbi Smith, Jennifer Alumbro, Jhon Kate Andreano, Josie Arimas, Riza Penalba, Romela Osabel and Simranjeet Sirah.
