Six hundred students from 14 schools throughout north west Victoria have already indicated their interest in coming along to this week's Ouyen Emergency Services Day. A joint initiative between Mildura Rural City Council, Victoria Police and Ouyen Inc, the event will be held at the Ouyen Lake on Wednesday 6 September from 10am to 4pm. It will feature displays and representatives from Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, Country Fire Authority and the Victoria State Emergency Service. Mildura's Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Community Development Helen Healy said the event was a great opportunity for local residents, and young people in particular, to learn more about the various emergency services agencies.
