A new study published today shows the number of sexual partners we have changes as we age – and there are some surprising results. Researchers from the University of East Anglia (UEA), in collaboration with King's College London and University College London, surveyed more than 5,000 people aged 18 years and older during the 2022 mpox (previously known as "monkeypox") outbreak. The team wanted to better understand how sexual behaviours change with age, so that mathematical models of sexually transmitted infections can be made more accurate.
