The Perikatan Nasional secretary-general said the door is still open to the former minister if he wants to join Bersatu and be involved in the state elections. 'If he (Khairy) wants to play tug-of-war, it is fine but party president (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) says it once, then that's enough, ' said Hamzah. Sinar Harian reported that Hamzah said this after the launch of the Perikatan election machinery and Himpunan Pakat Pertahan programme in Kota Baru on Saturday (June 24). He said that he hoped that Khairy would join Perikatan and added that the latter is 'smart enough to make a decision'.
